Brooklyn Bedroom Renovation

This light filled bedroom was originally half the size. A galley kitchen and a smaller bedroom were combined to make this beautiful room complete with a built-in home office and black-out curtains. There are two entrances to the bedroom which allow the overall circulation of the space to flow from one room to the next.

Originally, A galley kitchen and a small bedroom were separated by a wall that intersected the double windows you see here.

The headboard of the bed is located on the wall where the galley kitchen used to be!  Above the bed is a painting by artist C Bangs entitled Sunna's Cycle.  Ripple curtains add form and function to elevate the room. They block out light and sound and also help to insulate the room from outdoor temperatures.

Home Office

Home Office

The home office has a floating cherry desk and a hidden closet. An antique oscillating fan adds character and functionality. This is a great solution for spaces where a ceiling fan or central AC is not an option.
